My son V was not well, taking the advantage of company benefit, we went to company panel doctor. Am forcing V to bring all of his text books so that he can have revision in the queue, but to my surprised that only one patient was ahead of me. Two of the clinic assistants were swapping flies while another was doing nails filing.
Where are all the pretend to sick employees? I miss them walking pass my seat, looking fatigue, painful, distress, or worst case limping, groaning pain, shortness of breath, shaky, unsteady, stiff gait, toe walking & etc.
The name calling bring me back, enter and found the young locum doctor, I just told him V was having sore throat, coughing & flu. The doctor placed a thermometer on V’s forehead with his hair underneath. The doctor started scribbling on the card, and in the meantime he murmured ironically, ‘take less oiling food & drink plenty of water. ‘, then with the word OK he signaled us to go out.
The whole process took less than 2 minutes. Super fast and that was the reason why I miss all the ‘good’ show.
During my young days, we used to play pretend game, I love to play the role of doctor, I will ask my patient to stick out tongue to check on the throat, use stethoscope to listen the heart & lung, and use a handkerchief to wrap round patient arm and pretend to check their blood pressure.
What happen to nowadays’ doctor ? Has the procedure been void??

Oh my dear Mummy Choo,
You have once again proven to be a typical human being.
If the doctor make you wait too long in his clinic, you complain, when the doctor gives you treatment at F1 speed you complaint also.
Anyhow that is where all the interesting things comes to visibility.
If everything is normal, who bothers.............!
Subra
Well, panel doctors will move fast as they received fix rate for factory patients. Most of them have almost the same symptoms and always "not a big deal" sickness. Panel doctor doesn't earn much from them so just make it fast.
If u go to doctors using ur own money then doctors will treat u longer and better. U might also get a cup of coffee in stead just the medicine.
Dear all,
thank you for making noise here, hahaha... a cup of coffee yah, good idea, i will hv to brain wash my daughter to become a doctor, and i will provide all the good services to her patient, i will arrange coffee, massage, healthy fruits, diet food and provide babysitting while waiting.
Also franchiasig like Joe Ferxxxxxx, you ppl interested to join my plan ?
Here we face again another cry for attention having found short of one in the clinic.
In medicine, I humbly believe, is very hard to judge and simplify. A doctor who touches a lot a patient, and frowns in concern, and agrees to whatever you have said as a worried mother, does not mean an effective doctor. But he is, I believe what you guys regard as a good doctor.
So what if a doctor chats with you for an hour but eventually he gives out the wrong antibiotics, or he charges you more? SO it all depends on what you want from the doctor when you step into his clinic.
Do you want one who gives you a 100% attention because you deserve it, judging from the level of education you have had and probably the higher level of communication you could have achieved with this doctor? But when not given to you, you fall back and blame him for being a SUPERMAN-FAST? Or would you choose to be like all of us, just to find a doctor who can cure you?
You see, people are very complicated beings. We don't walk a straight line because we have to, but usually because we want to.
