Dates to Remember :(

In our life, there have a lot of dates that we are forced to remember, no matter you like it or not. When you are young, you need to remember

1. Your own birthday
2. Parents birthday x 2
3. Sibling birthday x 2 (if you have 2 siblings)

When you grow up and in relationship, you need to add in

4. your lover’s birthday x 1
5. Valentine day x 1

When you got married, you ought to extend your list to include

6. Wedding anniversary x 1
7. Your parents in law birthday x 2
8. Your children birthday x 2 (if you have 2 kids)

The list has not come to end yet, some forgetful person that can’t remember their own parents’ birthday created Mother’s day and Father’s day for the world to celebrate, these two dates have been commercialized by the public, places like hotel, restaurant, souvenir shop, bakery shop, radio & TV broadcast have big time promotion, no way for you to pretend forgetful.

9. Mother’s day x 2
10. Father’s day x 2

Haha… based on the above, assume that you have 2 siblings, 2 children, parents & parents in law, the total celebration per year is 16 days, meaning that you need to prepare 16 gifts / treats for your beloved. Hmmmm…. That excludes Christmas gift or festive gift, well, well, beside wallet bleeds, your head will crack searching for gift and remembering it.

When our petrol is cost more than mineral water

Petrol price skyrocketing, causing our pocket to burn and bleed. The sky of Malaysia covers with tons of negative vibes, all the grievances, complaints, curse & hatred form the dark grey cloud that float in the air.

Our office is unusually noisy, we have *3 women 1 pasar in the finance cubicle, and *2 women 50 ducks in the material management cubicle, the men are boosting and giving 10 pages of A4 size speeches on how the petrol hike will affect us in times to come.

Some are holding and pressing the calculator, some are using Excel worksheet to key in the formula, and some are digesting the newspaper.

The scenario looks like share market, and it went on for half an hour before they settle down to work.

Later, I found a lot of mails flying in, the Excel worksheet, the newspaper announcement, the demonstration pictures & so on.

Some positive thinkers view the petrol raise positively, less mat rempit to vroom around, less traffic jam, less pollution, less accident.

Some economy advisors are worrying, this will affect the consumers market, people will not eat out in the restaurant, will not buy car, will not buy property, will not travel, will not go for entertainment.

Sigh… we got to ‘reshape’ our lifestyle to cope with the petrol hike

Remarks : 3 women 1 pasar / 2 women 50 ducks– to describe the loud noise make by the women

I can have both....

Being a free thinker sound something extra ordinary among the community around me. Friends, colleagues, relatives & neighbors will utter ‘hah ??? You have no god ??’

Two of my good friends were concerned & worried for me, one would like me to be with her & Jesus, another said Buddha preaching is good for me & family, I am indecisive whether to accept flowers & candles or roast pork, roast chicken, fruits & many more ‘peripherals’ in the after death’s life.

I was doubtful whether to dress up white with floral headdress , floating in the cloud, eating fruits & seeing white arch door as my home, or accepting unlimited money, credit card, bungalow, maid, car, or latest gadget like massage chair, foot massager, home theater, petrol station & etc.

Things have not been changed since then, my kids – blinking their constipated eyes with ignorant looking face asking why we have no god ? Sigh…. Was the word I responded.

Lately, my little 6 years old junior has reaches the same stage, he came round to me one day, asking whether I know how to pray to god ? I am kind of stunned, before I regain my conscious, he put both hands together and started the praying in Bahasa….

Being staunch in her religion, my maid would walk round with the bible with her, chanting song that praises Jesus, she pray as often as Muslim, even the 3am praying will not be spared.

My junior has since then gets the story telling of the mighty hero of Jesus, junior will repeat the story session to me while I tuck him to bed at night.

I have decided to stay where I am now, I may have both sons that would offer me flowers & candles, and roast pork, roast chicken etc. at times, I will be sent up there with white uniform, or being down there with life that are abundance… I grinned happily.

I will be happy for next 365 days

2 K is my trade mark - Kia See & Kia Su, I used to go for medical check up periodically, reason is the 2 K not because of age catching up.

My next blood test is scheduled in a week time, I will watch my diet & do whatever exercise needed to beautify my result, at least a pass and not targeting with flying colors.

My ‘Tong Sampah’ colleague is yelling from her cubicle, ‘mommy Choo, you want special order for lunch or not?’ She is slim & young, metabolism rate is high, and whatever input will go straight out without storing.

‘No’ I yelled back, ‘I am on cow & horse diet’ (solely on veges), ‘I wouldn’t want to ruin my result next week’

She come by my cubicle, drop me the bomb ‘you are cheating!’ I reply spontaneously ‘dear, at least I will be happy for next 365 days for getting good result next week’. Follow by a smirk.

Gong De Wu Liang

功德无量 or Gong De Wu Liang are the words that I always mentioned to describe myself doing some good deed, repeated for many times till my daughter will say, ’oh no, here is mum again with her Gong De Wu Liang philosophy….’

During the trip to tuition, I will stop by to give ways to pedestrians & cars to cross the road, and I will take this opportunity to educate my kids on the road mannerism, ‘blar… blar… blar… by doing this will cum our good deed and become Gong De Wu Liang (abundance of good deed)….. blar… blar… blar.’ My kids will go on snoring loud despite my preaching, so disrespect to me…

By telling is not enough, I must note down as prove, jot down the number plate, all in a list, a list maybe not enough, a big log book is more suitable, hee… hee….hee… I snigger.

This log book should serve as a key to heaven, I will ask my ah girl to burn it together when I rest for long sleep later, Gong De Wu Liang, Gong De Wu Liang… I murmur to myself

Room 2511, Towel Please !!

Our trip to HongKong & Shezhen was good and enjoyable, in between we had some spice story to tell.

Upon leaving Shezhen to Hongkong, the whole group in the coach was stopped by the hotel claiming that they have missing towel in room 2511. These 2 middle aged ladies wasn’t very please with the accusation, her brother – crew cut hair with scar of pimples shouted abruptly, ‘who will steal their towel? We know the hotel rules’, loud enough for everyone of us to hear.

After much persuasion from the tour leader, the 2 ladies agreed to search thru the luggage to prove their dignity, big bulky luggage bag was unloaded, everyone from the coach lead against the window to see the happening.

One by one, the clothes was taken out, triangle flag lah, T-shirt lah…. White towel lah, light blue towel lah, checker towel lah, etc.

Sudden, one lady in the coach shouted, ‘Hey, I can recognize the light blue towel, it was from XYZ hotel, the checker towel from ABC hotel….’ And she went on, all the 3rd aunty and 6th granny (to describe the Caring group) in the coach rushed to the window to peep, the coach nearly overturn.

Full of embarrassment, the lady from Room 2511 gradually pulled out a white towel and hand over to the hotel housekeeper. Needless to tell the ending… she brought shame to all of us, even to our country as well.

Always remember that we are representing our country whenever we are in overseas. Try to behave well.
